My Mom and Dad moved to Minnesota after they both finished the Army. They went to Minnesota because my mom went to college there. They lived in St. Paul, but eventually moved to White Bear when I was born. After my sister was born, we moved to Hugo, but stayed in the White Bear school district.

Madeleine L’Engle said: “If you don’t recount your family history, it will be lost.  Honor your own stories and tell them too.  *The tales may not seem very important, but they are what binds families and makes each of us who we are.”
I believe this quote means that it is important to pass down your family's story, because it's important to know where you came from. I agree with this quote because I like learning about my family's history, and I don't want to forget where I came from. This connects to my life because my parents make sure I know about my family's history.
