The buzz of silence I can't stand. I prefer the chirps of birds, the rustle of leaves, the zoom of cars. Anything but the buzz of silence. It's a sound that haunts the quiet nights home alone and makes me turn on the television when I would rather read a book. A sound that makes me tap my pencil rhythmicaly on my desk during the silence of a test. The sound that makes solitary confinement such a punishment and sneezing such a sin. The buzz of silence is the song of the dead and will haunt me until I am one with it. But I will continue to fight.
