It Started Small

PROMPT: Writing Small

The house was charred, blackened soot and burnt plastics filled the air with a bitter calm. Sirens had stopped their roar and uniformed officers lingered on the scene, they murmured rumors and their theories. A fireman bent into the rubble, he pulled out the cause of the destruction, a matchstick.

    Personally, I don't think a wooden matchstick would have survived a house burning. :) But you have great descriptions here! I love this composition!
