Don't be afraid of the dark.
The dark has no power.
The dark is only fear,
Fear trying to take your heart
With it's cold, dead fist.

Don't be afraid of the dark.
Dark cannot see light.
Dark cannot be near light,
Because light always wins,
With it's victory over the fist.

Don't fear the shadows.
Shadows cannot be intimidating
Shadows cannot overcome you.
Not if you have light,
Because light always pushes back shadows
With an eternal victory over dark.

Don't fear the shadows.
Shadows may exist.
Shadows may be present.
But they have no power over you.
Not if you trust light,
That light will keep your eyes open,
With a bonfire that scares away dark.

Don't fear the night.
Night may be present.
Night may be usual.
But even in the night there are stars,
And a Moon, and cities on hills,
Where you can follow and trust the light.
When all seems black and nothing you can't see anything,
Turn and face the growing white,
For there is never an absence of light.

Excellent! I love this poem so much! I agree with Elizabeth Bennet that this poem is very powerful!
With Jesus in my life there will be no need for physical light, even. :)
Keep up the great work! God bless!

This is a powerful poem. I am a Christian, and my Savior is my eternal light.
