Official Debate Nerd and Sap. I thought it would be fun to recount by debate journey (for a second time) in numbers. Weird, I know, but all feedback is appreciated. :)

I have done a debate thing too! For my school, we did a mock trial. I was absolutely certain I would be an attorney, with all the extra credit I did every week, and the fact that I consistently got some of the highest grades in my class. But alas, my teacher made me a witness for… No apparent reason, and not only that, but I had the weakest witness in the class. I still don't know why she did that. Anyway, when the time came for me to be cross examined, I had studied my statement inside and out, and I knew EVERYTHING it said. I would not be thrown off. I sat in my seat at the Mock trial, just before it started, and my friend leaned over and said "Who is cross examining you, do you know?" I pointed at the person I had been told would be crossing me, and my friend's jaw dropped. "THAT GUY???" they said. "He is a ninth grader who does mock trials all across the state! He has been doing it for years! He is the regional champion!"
Thats when the panic officially set in. When my turn did come, I found that I knew my stuff about my character much more then he did, and I completely dominated him in front of everybody. It was awesome. I plan to do debates in the future, like a debate team, so maybe we will one day meat face to face! >:)
