Hey everybody! I can't believe I haven't posted anything or been active on WTW in so long! My summer was super busy and I didn't have too much time to post on here. Anyways, now that my school year is starting soon, I thought I would write something today and this is what I came up with. Just something short - I don't even know what inspired it, but here it is! I hope all of you are well and enjoying your day/night :)

It fascinates me
How humanity perceives certain things so differently
Some say the gloriously green trees surrounding
My hometown, my neighborhood, my world are
p o i s e d ,
                      s t u n n i n g ,
                                                  and most importantly,  d e s e r v i n g   o f   l o v e
O U R   L O V E
Meanwhile, I know there are people
With families of their own and houses to call home
Who look at these same trunks with branches and leaves
And casually say, "they're just trees" as if these majestic plants are
d i s p o s a b l e ,
                                    u n n e c e s s a r  y ,
                                                                             and above all,  w o r t h l e s s
H O W ?
How can we be so alike, yet, ultimately, opposites?

Re: Thanks! Yeah, I'm trying to, but ugh, it's a pain. Yeah, I actually just started last week! It's been pretty fun so far, and it's definitely starting to get less confusing. How about you?

i remember once i was at this thing and a woman wrote a poem about trees and i dont remember the whole thing but the first line was "we've been here longer than you, you see..." and that's stuck with me for six years and this just reminded me of that
