Too much/A collection of Haikus

July 13, 2021

Too much

I pour
half a lemonade can on the floor
it's too dry to drink

I walk
across the ground barefooted
it's too hot for shoes

I lie
on crushed grassy slopes
it's too comfortable to stay

I think
my thoughts slurrishly spooling in the air
it's too thick to think

A collection of Haikus

I don’t quite fit
The mould I was stamped with
I come just short

What can you say in
A haiku that’s just so small
Like a blade of grass

I always do too much
Always in excess - I never
Know when I should just stop
Two unrelated pieces that are quite small and simplistic - half the reason I wrote the second one was just to mess with people haha (count the syllables) - hope you enjoy!

Re: Thanks for all your lovely messages! I'm an INFJ too and a major Potterhead (Ravenclaw and proud). Same goes for you, if you ever need a stranger to talk to, just comment on one of my pieces :) Also, love the last 'haiku!'
