Message to Readers

I absolutely adore environmental poetry. I could write it all day. I hope you enjoy my latest piece, lights out above.

Lavender engulfs the skies tonight,
Melding in the living beam.
Blemished with clouds
and the mischievous swallows.

Folding into their cloaks,
40 flowers catch 40 winks.
Bowing to majesty.
A nourishing crown of gold.

Evening Earth.
I was miserable today.
Submerge this evening’s dream,
In rich violet.

As she concludes her diurnal stroll,
There is a familiar chill.
I’ll wallow in the grass,
Until there is lights out above.
This poem was inspired by a gorgeous Summer evening in my garden. I hope you enjoy.

your message board is perfectly inspiring. i think, to end on a different tone, would you have the one in the poem remember that there are always millions of lights above?
