Isolation of the highest kind
There you lie, just you and your mind

The sheets beneath you reek of bleach
Listen to your therapist, imagine a beach

But how can you imagine paradise when your stuck inside a cage
Your thoughts have lit a fire that explodes in rage

Only nice people end up here
Because kindness is rare in a world of fear

Punished are those who care rather than take
Perhaps vulnerability was their first mistake

If society would prioritize acceptance over hierarchy
Struggling kids may not be the equivalent to an entire army

But alas the hidden society of kids who put others first
Lie in their hospital beds, thinking they’re cursed

Mental illness is not their fault
It’s a side affect of a fucked up cultural assault
