song quote of the week:
sunflower of parting regrets - hitoshizuku-p x yama△

most if not all of my pieces have songs linked to them. give them a listen, you might like what you hear.

i hope the next decision you make brings you happiness.

here, air is thick enough to be
held, withheld. the best way
to dance with jet lag is to keep
your eyes open the entire time,
keep your hand on the waist and
head on the cheese cloth pillow.
they dim the lights in tandem
with the sun's breathing. it holds
it long, just like we do. drink
ginger ale that tastes like melted
glass. chew on your tongue. flight
attendants flesh nice smiles for the
children. chicken or beef? if you're
in first class, you get to eat duck
in sichuan sauce. they'll ask you if
you like your steak medium or rare.
otherwise, just asked for it cooked
until it breaks after thirty chews.
meat will be slightly rubbery, nose
will be slightly inoperative. it's
for the best. keep your stomach
bloated and the seatbelt won't
feel like it's strangling you. watch,
re-watch thor ragnorak. and when
something explodes, try not to
smell burning plastic, carbon
dioxide. if you're lucky, you'll be
awake enough for them to leave
a haagan dazs ice cream cup on
your tray. let it defrost or else
you'll burn your lip. there's a spoon
in the lid. just chew and swallow,
chew and swallow. the longer you
stare at the flight map, the longer
this flight will be. i know because
i've been there. i've lost something

up there.

young blood - bea miller

anecdote: 14 hour flight from here to beijing. they had three songs from bea miller's debut album: young blood, enemy fire, and fire and gold. those three songs practically kept me alive during that fight haha. that was a long time ago.
