you think i don't realise how
you've never apologized
well, now let me go
stop holding on to useless things
i won't sugar-coat something that used to be sweet
pretty things start to burn my insides
when i relive them too much
can you not feel the fragility in my silence?
my choice to love you still
makes me see greys that haunt me
when the moonlight shines a little more.
i can feel which days you love me less
and it curses me worse than
if you pretended i was dead
and everytime i put one foot out the door
you sing my name ever so softly
but i've had enough of your gentle killing
reaching for me to watch you turn away again

i won't sugar-coat something that used to be sweet
can you not feel the fragility in my silence?

ohhh this is gorgeous... the ending was... I'm grasping at words here but this is so simple yet beautiful? "stop holding useless things" ahhh and at the end I can just see them pivot away. (also yes hi fellow swiftie :)

Re: Thank you for the comment!

I 100% agree with Nyla and Anne this piece is incredible and the ending "but i've had enough of your gentle killing
reaching for me to watch you turn away again" just blew me off my chair XD

"can you not feel the fragility in my silence?" was just so silently (see what I did there) powerful!!
"you sing my name ever so softly" was sooo eerie!!
    But overall wow! Well done!!
