Message from Writer

Hey!
I LOVE to read & write & draw (Melanie Cellier, Wendy Mass, & Jillian Dodd) ...all that good stuff.
I mainly post things I've been playing around with, but I always appreciate feedback! Feel free to drop a comment or a review, it's always appreciated. If you ever want a review, I'd be happy to help. Just ask :>
I mostly write little poetry things, short stories, flash fictions, and some political commentary/mockery.
Thanks!

January
Is solid, dense, knows what she wants.
Rough around the edges, but selfless inside.
She's dark, like a navy storm
Or indigo denim.
Tough, but loving. She's
Rough, but thoughtful.

February
Is the lightest of soft clouds, soft gray.
He floats along blue skies
Without a care.
Shades of creamy smoke
Swirling puffs that wrap up and around, smiling.
His heart shines, anything but gray,
Leaving innocent footsteps behind,
Quietly.

March
Is the wildly colored clown, the brightest of shamrock greens. He's
Loud, obnoxious, mischievous,
Neon.
Witty and comical, using his boldness for good.
Though that's doesn't always show.
Flashing emeralds
To everyone he passes,
But still adorable in his own way.

April
Is the sound of a sigh, the scent of sweet sugar,
And the color of rosy fuchsia.
Petals dipped in hot pink paint,
She's
Speckled with magenta,
Splattered with strawberry.
W
ithdrawn, but beautiful. And doesn't see her wonder.

May
Is
Carnation, sweet. Flamingo, calm.
But with a layer of beige over her pale pink
That smooths it all
Over.
The sort of fun-loving, easy going girl,
Blushing and shy, and
Always laughing.

June
Is bold, she's feisty, and she'd never
Back down.
As a rich cobalt,
She's small, but strong,
And not the type to let it go.
The admiral azure.

July
Is motherly
But young. A violet bloom. She's
Dark, but warm.
Large, but calm.
And a total party girl.
The selfless indigo, the one that puts others first.
And she cradles them in her
Brotherly blue.

August
Is the hot sun beating down,
dropping burnt spices on his tongue,
the taste of
tangerine cider.
Beads of sweat trickle on the foreheads of others when he speaks.
A deep orange, a fiery bronze, he's
Passionate and argumentative.

September
Is yellow,
Just yellow.
She's confused,
But okay with that.
Sticks of straw, as light
As hay.

October
Is chilled, spotted with orange and red.
The color of fire,
But he's the opposite.
Slightly hot-headed and insensitive, but ultimately
Caring.

November
Is a shimmering scarlet.
With raspberry tints and cherry lipstick,
She doesn't care what others think. She never passes up the chance
To make a statement.
Wit draws others forth. Bright, brighter than the sun.
Warm, but vibrant.
The sort of person
You want to keep around.

December
Is the definition of mixed. She's everything, completing all the rest.
As sweet as an orchid
As strong as sangria
As powerful as an amethyst
She's confident and unafraid to break out
In song.
Don't stay away, but
Don't
Get on her bad side.

Oh, I love this personification! It's a really fun piece and I loved reading each month and comparing it to people I know who are born in those months, for some reason!

replying- That's pretty cool, it seems like the type of thing that could take you billions of places.

woah ! this is absolutely beautiful, the italicised words keep the piece flowing and each adjective fits so well. I loved all the opposite statements that weren't quite opposites:
    "Tough, but loving. She's
    Rough, but thoughtful."
    absolutely gorgeous.

I love this! Especially the part where you say April is splattered with strawberries. :)

How is this so ACCURATE??? Didn't disagree with a Single one, they were all absolutely perfect. Also may I just say, your line breaks are very nice!! I like the way they draw my attention to the things that are important, like any good line breaks should :)

January is literally a m o m lol (dang didn't expect July to be the party mom hahah)

I agree with August 100% (normally I do marching band and swim team over the summer, so I definitely feel those burnt spices).

And hehe I like the last few lines for December. :))

Like "Days of the Week," I really like how you used colors AND personalities to describe each month; they're interwoven beautifully. AMAZING sequel!!!

This is so beautiful. And you made it seem so effortless! I'm so like my birth month September, but a little January too.
    replying- You're welcome

No, definitely not too much. I actually didn't even realize that I had read through all twelve months until I saw "footnotes".
