PROMPT BELOW!
If you find inspiration with this, let me know. I would love to see what you guys do.
Prompt:

Half the names on the list had already been crossed off.

Check out Rohan's Defender and Coolgirl! Honestly, these are some of the most awesome people ever! And they write beautifully! Also, books4life is working on an HG fanfic and you NEED to go read it!

Also, if you need someone to rant to... I'm right here, ready to listen. And if you ever need someone to do a review, I'm here. And if you need a hug, I've got a few of those, too.

LMK if you'd like to be updated on any of my series.

Writer's Rose

FREE WRITING

4
The quiet scratch of quill on paper
and the gentle rustle of stacks of writing
But the bottle of moonlight link spills across the page
blotting out the stars as writing fades away

Ink drops off the desk and stains the floor
and the ink touched a red rose sitting nearby
staining the petals from life into night
but the writer's rose never dies

Falls like raindrops but ink lasts forever
and red petals are no longer visible
but quiet falls and the ink is cleaned
and midnight is thrown away, a forgotten dream

But you can't cleanse the flower
for she's absorbed the writer's words
and the writer can't bear to throw beauty away
so a stained rose sits and will forever stay

Roses are picked so often from their stems
but only roses set on desks turn black
These writer's roses never fir but forever remain
but the black rose and the red rose are never the same

Never changing except for the gentle rain of ink
the roses lean toward the words on scratchy pages
When they're plucked by the night of the full moon
they become the rose of the writer's mind anew

Die at the end of the life of the writer
Dear Rose, take the ink and accept the whispered words
Let it spill from your petals onto the page
until you and your writer become old and sage
Now go back and read the first word of every stanza!

Wow!! I love how you left the first word in each stanza for that- that was amazing!! the whole thing through was very beautiful and descriptive! Really cool idea!! Great job :)
