The North Wind

March 11, 2021

Fly far away with the north wind,
a king sheds no tears of gold,
punish those who sins, says he,
yet he roams freely in his vast castle grounds.

His, he undresses the land with eyes of greed,
All his, he claims,
embracing the devil's gift,
glory bowed before him.

A kingdom so secluded,
even the knowing eye,
knows not of the broken land,
at the mercy of a man so formidable,
the lands quake in fear of his wrath.

The slamming of a door,
a man with nothing,
yet the same,
a king with all.

No, don't cry,
save the tears for later,
at the break of dawn,
they will prove to be of great use.

Wow- this piece was very poetic and I love the story of this king with nothing- I don't know whether to feel sympathetic for him or not because of his scary wrath. "His, he undresses the land with eyes of greed" was my favourite line because it was so poetic and I could imagine a king overlooking a balcony and staring evilly at all his subjects! RE: Omg awww thank you!! And yeah, I really liked that line :))
