maybe if i turn away and tell myself that my eyes are lying things will go back to the way they used to be

you said you'd love me forever
but i guess i overestimated how
long forever would really be but
why'd you have to go and peel
back your sheep's coat and stab
the walls of our loving home and
leave the brick to bleed out with
the blood of my sisters, my family
my family that once was yours
