Flying On Broken Wings | Crash Into The Ocean

Do you want to know how I fly?
Well I'll tell you.
I fly on broken wings.
Tendrils of smoke follow me where I go,
Littering the sky in acrid ash.
I'm like a meteor. 
I burn as I soar.
Plumes of fire announce my presence,
Warning of the world of my raging sorrow.
And though these wings may be broken beyond repair,
Though my robes are tattered and torn from years of mental torment,
Though my eyes hold the heat of a thousand suns,
Though my soul screams for mercy,
I fly.
And I will continue flying.
One day,
I will crash.
But for now,
I will flap my crimson-stained wings.
Because at the end of it all,
I'd like to find an ocean to drown my tears in.
At the end of it all,
I'd like to be embraced by cold, salty reality.
At the end of it all,
I want these flames stomped out.
But until then,
I will fly on my broken wings.
Why?
Because it's the only thing I know how to do.
