I'd like to thank the Academy- oop wrong award show. Anyway, yeah. I'd like to thank my best friend for merely existing, and rooting for me at home right now, probably in a onesie and surrounded by off-brand Takis... oh, how I envy that right about now. Not that getting this award isn't like a friggen dream come true, but Takis *laughs in social anxiety*. I'd also like to thank my little brothers for being more critical than that food critic from Ratatouille, which I guess built up my character and helped me deal with rejection from real critics. I gotta thank my mom- y'know, I bet if she was on this stage right now, she'd use her therapist's voice and be like, "So how does this make you feel?" and I'd slap an Uno Reverse card down dramatically and be like, "HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL?" I'm kidding.
Ooh, and Takis. Thank you, Takis.
Welp, um... follow your dreams and stay in school *pulls a Jennifer Lawrence and trips on air*.
prompt: write the acceptance speech of the award you want to win. Make it poetry, bittersweet/serious, funny or whatever ya want :)
I chose an Emmy for my screenplay. I resorted to humor and going off on a agent about spicy Mexican chips and therapist mothers because- well, I'm not sure.
