The fifty-something-year-old thread binding of a hardcover... a trusty pen... ancient typewriters... paperbacks with covers that don't stick up... just some things that I and so many writers share nostalgia for ;)

Chasing the Sun

There once was a man who chased the sun
Because of one wise old phrase.
"Do not let the sun set on your anger";
He held this to heart for all of his days.

So why, do you ask, did he chase the sun?
Because there was a wrong he would not forgive.
He hopped on a plane -- yes, it sounds insane --
And flew west, to where the sun lives.

Of course, as you've probably guessed,
He had to fly west every few hours.
All this toil, chasing the sun,
Just so he could stay sour.

I've had this idea in my head for quite a while. Thought it'd make a nice little rhyme :P

    Haha, this is so cute! It reminds me of an old wives tale. Cute rhyme!
    Replying: Yeah, I like that passage, too! I used to find it very rude, but now I understand it better. Thanks for your comment! (PS, I love your username, and I really want a type writer XD)
