The fifty-something-year-old thread binding of a hardcover... a trusty pen... ancient typewriters... paperbacks with covers that don't stick up... just some things that I and so many writers share nostalgia for ;)

A Homeschooler's Doom

It's hard to get to school
When you're a homeschooler, homebound.
Your desk is so far from reach ---
Three yards away, two above the ground.
You must drag yourself out of bed
And cross the length of a room.
That three yards you must travel
Must surely be your doom.

A little poem inspired by my sister. Indeed, it's hard for us homeschoolers to get to school... XP

I absolutely LOVE this poem. I have been homeschooled since fifth grade and I feel your pain. XD

I am the three yards of doom. I do not appreciate being called out like this. Do you want me to have a lego for you to step on? Because that very well may happen tomorrow!
