I'm always looking to improve, so if you could check out my work and give critique, that'd be great!

His forlorn, regretful eyes meet my own.

"It's you..." He murmurs, disbelieving. The light's faded from his blue orbs as he looks at me helplessly, lost.

"It's me." I choke out.

"Orpheus." I whisper, words laced with fear, shock, and desperation.
His voice cracks, filled with sorrow and love, "Eurydice-"
Inspired by the "Doubt Comes In" scene from the musical "Hadestown" by Anaïs MItchell, which was in turn inspired by the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. It's an awesome musical with great music and writing -- and the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice is really good, too. Highly recommended!

Also, I don't know if Orpheus really has blue eyes, it's just my visual image of him.

Oh this was beautiful. It echoed the myth so perfectly, you showed the heartbreak gorgeously.
