115 draft 1............

December 7, 2020

Listen, listen, to the
to the echoes from the street.
muffled giggles and whispers not-so-discrete.
twirl of car wheels and their drivers' thudding heartbeats.
Listen, listen.

Watch, watch, the
a bug skitter around a table.
smiles tugging at their lips- as large as they are able-.
joy bubbling up in their eyes and leaves spiraling down from birches and maples.
Watch, watch.

Listen, listen, to the
your father humming to the radio.
your mother's laughs that soars and goes-
through heaven and back just to get to you.
Listen, listen.

Watch, watch, as
life stumbles and falls to catch up to you
outside the window of your car.

Listen, and watch.

listen and watch. the imagery in here is ordinary, yet cozy and real. what prompt was this?
re: really? that's neat. what kind of essays? (also, the greeks were seriously neat. tons of accomplishments and a complex language. we def need more words for love.)
