When you let wild run
what else what would you expect
but to be outdone
Years we took to build a tower
the height of our power
But the storms did blow
the stones did fall
and the vines did grow
And soon we were left with broken stones
paving shattered streets
that hid bleached bones
And the wild took what we had built
and left our masterpiece in ruins
Which line is your favorite? What makes it so good?!
All of it!!
How does the writer evoke a tone or mood or feeling?
It invokes failure in me. First success, then failure.
I love the fact that it rhymes.
