For being nice to 
And being friends with
A new girl,
Who was new to 
Public schools?

Because I felt left out,
Unwanted and unneeded,
Of all the things you guys did,
So I started hanging out
With someone else?

Help me to understand,

For something that happened
Long before quarantine started,
And that something 
Was being friends with someone,
Who is energetic and fun,
Kinda like you?

I get your pain,
I really do,
Because I was in it
Long before you,
But I’ve chosen to 
Forgive and forget,
Not to live in the past,
But to live in the now, 
All the great times 
We have had these last few months,
That I will remember for lifetimes,
Won’t you?
