you'll come back, when they call you,
no need to say goodbye

still trying to figure out my place in this world.

reading the hate u give
(always)listening to dodie & sleeping at last

i just can't seem to find where my piece fits in this puzzle of life.

I wrote a poem on how I don't like writing non-rhyming poetry, and the poem didn't rhyme!

Non-rhyming poetry
Freaks me out
it's okay when I'm reading someone else's poetry
But if it's mine
I hate it

My words need to rhyme
Need to sound the same
They need to be connected
And non-rhyming poetry doesn't have that

Like I said, I don't mind
If the work is someone else's
Because then I can't criticise it
Because it's not mine
And honestly
It sounds so much better than rhyming poetry

So to sum it up
I don't like writing non-rhyming poetry
It freaks me out
So I shall stick to rhyming poetry

Oh wait.....

                This is non-rhyming poetry.
Question: Is there a name for non-rhyming poetry? I would love to know.....

I try rhyming but it is pretty difficult. I find it hard to keep the poem flowing and still make the rhyming lines relevant. So I mostly forget about it half way through. I sometimes have stuff that rhymes and then stuff that doesn't throughout one poem :) . But I'm not the best poet. :)

I like both, but I see what you mean. I love reading both, but I prefer the rhymes. For someone who doesn't like their no-rhyme poetry, you did a pretty good job. I believe the official category non-rhyming poetry would be under is Free Verse. Though what do I know? I'm not much of a poet. :)

haha, well you did it! rhyme definitely is pleasing, but this turned out well without a rhyme scheme. yeah, both blank verse free verse are non-rhyming, but blank verse may have a meter/rhythm. but there are other types of poetry that don't rhyme. like haiku. ;)

    It's called free-style.
re: I'm fine now. Thanks for your concern.

Free verse, if I recall correctly.
I can understand this haha. I tend to start with rhyming, and then forget about it halfway through and then take it down. It's whatever though xD
