Red cardinals sit on
b r o k e n branches and
sing their silly songs
but I close my window
cause it's too c o l d out
and I know you are already gone

Winter is coming
snow on the horizon
frost b i t i n g my nose
limbs numb to the blurry world
I keep going cause
I might find my way h o m e

    first of all, i'd like to echo what paisley blue said. second of all, i'm not sure you've donw this on purpose, but a lot of people believe that cardinals signify a loved one who's passed visiting you.... so if you did write that on purpose, I SEE YOU... but if you didn't... well now you know, and i think it's dope.

    WOAH i love this poem!! i think this might be my favorite of yours so far. its so real and raw and descriptive... that first stanza really pulled me in. "and I know you are already gone" this LINE!!! Wow this is stunning. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS <333
