Say Something, I love You

November 11, 2020

I don’t want to lose you because...

I love you.

I love you,

Say something,

I can’t lose you

Your the only one I love.

I have had these strong feelings for you

For a while,

I just haven’t told you.

Please say something,

I love you.
Okay so this may or may not be true... Yeah well I hoped you enjoyed, this is really not my style of writing but I had the idea so... Yeah

This poem is heartbreakingly gorgeous. The space you leave in between the lines is perfectly done so it sounds like something someone would actually say. Good job.

Replying to your footnotes: I did enjoy this! And I'm glad you experimented outside of your comfort zone. I agree with katnissromanoff. It's simple, it's deep, it's stunning, all at the same time.

love the formatting of this! I can imagine the narrator stammering, slowly choosing their words, yet they're sincere and firm. Lovely work!
