That beautiful red hue,
A vermillion conceal of gore,
luminesces in all of its beauty.
glowers among a blanket of haze.
The sweet aroma enraptures me,
Its damaged appearance arouses me,
and its delicacy must be preserved.
and its intimidating thorns impale me.
Counting each petal by petal,
Plucking them one by one,
it seems as if its beauty only intensifies.
it only continues to wither away.
The vivid tinges of one rose,
Like a lone rose,
is only comparable to a halcyon.
adversities are my only sense of heed.

  • I haven't been very active lately due to tons of schoolwork, extracurriculars & exams. However, once I manage to complete all of my schoolwork (and pass my exams) until thanksgiving break, I'll get back to writing mode! Until then, here is a random poem that I scrapped off of the top of my head...

Thank you so much for the review!
I've done lots of studying with ornithology, and I decided to include some bird names in my poem. Branta Canadensis is just the Canada goose, and it flies South in the Winter. I live in a northern area in my country, so it means that it's edging towards winter.

I love how you weave two poems into one, and how it shows the different faces of the rose. This is absolutely beautiful! I will never be able to stress how talented you are and how beautiful your way of language is. I wouldn't be surprised if you became a famous poet one day, although I'd be very proud of you.
Also, I wrote a poem called "When Branta Canadensis Goes South," and if you have time, I was wondering if you could review it. I love your writing so much and it'd be my pleasure to have you review a poem for me.

Oh my gosh, the contrast is amazing, the wording, the structure... seriously, how is this so perfect? I am in love with the language you used, and the entire idea of using a rose to reflect opposite sides. Wow, I am just... wow. Amazing, truly
