The horrors of war, Oh child of ignorance

Thundering through the white water falls of snow
Horses hooves striking the flawless landscape
Leaving muddied sludge behind
Riders bouncing on saddles
Numb to the pain
For the battle
Of victory
Awaited

An untouched oasis of scarlet rivers
Abandoned
Ethereal beauty frozen in time
But Look deeper oh child of ignorance
See hidden, the horrors of war
Pearly bones jutting out of falling snowflakes
Crushed
Underneath a wide eyed stallion
Owner now owned by the reaper
A motionless blue corpse
Panic etched in the deep emerald depths of its eyes
It saw the souls rising in the twilight blue of dusk

No triumph
The spirits rising up in defeat
The survivors prayed for their end
For nothing in hell could be worse than this

Oh child of ignorance
You will never truly know the horrors of war
It has weird formatting but it wasn't purposeful in stanza 1 so the rest looks a bit disjointed but it wasn't meant to be that way. Also it isn't a great standard but I wanted to write something and had weird thoughts. :P
