Here the sunflowers, there the hummingbird--
equal seekers of sweetness.
Here the quickening yeast; there the blue plums.
Here the clam deep in the speckled sand."

"And I will show that nothing can happen more beautiful than death,
And I will thread a thread through my poems that time and event are compact,
And that all the things of the universe are perfect miracles, each as profound as any."

FREE WRITING

10

books lining the bookshelf, shoes tossed off at the door
dirty footprints on the rug, but i don't mind
clutter on every surface, music in the air
but what really makes this home is
the fact that you are here

cuddle under a blanket, watch the movie again
there's popcorn-butter stains on the couch,
our laughter is all i care about, keeping me in the moment
everywhere you go, i always know,
you make me feel at home
Thanks for lochnessie's awesome prompt! Hope this does it justice!

This is such a beautiful description! I can smell the popcorn. You really bring it to life so well!
Re: no, sadly it is not real, but I am going to youth tonight and might possibly see the guy in question. The conversation was based off of what we probably would say.
