The Sugar Sweet of Fantasy

When people ask why I prefer fantasy worlds,
I don't quite know what to say.
How can I explain that I feel safe nestled between sugar coated pages,
protected from the sour-flecked words of reality?
How can I describe the sweet flavor that blooms
when characters find peace after a few pages of struggle?
How do I find the words for the chocolate placed on my tongue,
brought by chaos ended and wrapped in a tight bow?
How do I tell them that I read to escape the blands of reality,
where sugar coated endings are few and far between?
How can I say that the one place I can taste once more,
is nestled between the pages of sugar sweet fantasy?

Wow, I... I don't know what to say. I love the lines, "How can I explain that I feel safe nestled between sugar coated pages; protected from the sour-flecked words of reality?" Wow, amazing!
