THIS IS A COLLECTION OF POEMS UNDER A SINGLE TITLE
XVIII. i follow the lines of sweet disaster
and the wreckage sews itself up and combusts in my wake
over
and over again.
If the slightest scene/imagery flashed across your mind when you'd read that, even for just the slightest second, tell me, please, I'd like a different point of view with this.
Footnotes
I imagine everything in the comic book graphic style, a character is walking down the rubble of a street, dragging her hand across existence.
The title of this is soooo, soooooooooo beautiful!! And I am a currently a little obsessed with short poems, but I barely ever see them on wtw, so this was really refreshing. The actual poem is beautiful, both in the words and the formatting, and it is very thought provoking. That’s what I like about short poems - they leave space for the reader’s interpretation. When I read this, I though of a person who’s struggling to keep it together and sort of following a path of self-destruction. They keep trying to heal and improve but they fall apart over and over again.
