THIS IS A COLLECTION OF POEMS UNDER A SINGLE TITLE

VIII. i write tears of the stars i have stolen from the sky,
like fruit from a tree, i savour those i have plucked
        but make no mistake,
i do not write poems for the falling stars.

What did you think when you read that? Just tell me, please, even if it was an unintelligible image that flashed across your mind for the briefest second.

"I do not write poems for the falling stars"
I hear the hidden words "but for me"
I imagine a wizened man, neither young or old, curled up in a tunnel as it storms, bent over or hunched on a journal or something. Shivering from the cold from spine to fingers and the man's still writing.

hello again! it is I, the weirdest interpreter of your absolutely gorgeous poems! (poems Can be gorgeous - to me at least :) I read this, and for a quick second thought that the narrator was evil because he/she/they wanted to pluck stars out of the sky instead of picking up the fallen ones...maybe "stars" are now just "flowers" in my head...who knows?
