Message from Writer

more often than not I will not make any sense
i dont know read my poetry i guess
but beware that everything that I write
is so infected with love

It's Over, Isn't It.

 It’s over, Isn’t it?
The late nights spent talking
Sitting close to each other
Pouring all our worries out
Just for each other
Knowing that our secrets
Our worries
Were safe

It’s over, Isn’t it?
The sly smiles from across the room
Sending silent messages
Stifling laughter at the other’s face
Desperately trying to make you smile
Wanting to see you happy
No matter what

It’s over, isn’t it,
The breathless laughter
Collapsing on the ground
After running away
Because everything was better
When I did it with you

It’s over, isn’t it
Sharing our music
Watching you talk about
The things you love
Waving your hands in excitement
Laughing when you forget

I don’t think it’s over
I think it will take time
But we will get back their eventually
I think we are already closer
Than we think

But know that until then
I will miss you
With everything I am
And that I will make my way back
To you

It’s not over.

i love how you communicate the disdainful tone of having to let someone go, and how hard it is to do so, then the transition into an almost desperate, but severely hopeful tone as you strive to get back to them.
