the right music can
calm you down
make you feel safe
or comfort you

here's some of the music
that is comforting to me
that i play when i'm down
that sounds like home

the village - wrabel
carry you - ruelle
it's alright - mother mother
hold on - chord overstreet
mirror - porter robinson
i see you - missio
home - x ambassadors
shadow - macklemore
older - ben platt
battle scars - paradise fears

and there's one song
that i both love
and can't listen to
because it's so
real
and was my favorite
when i was so
vulnerable
that song is called
beautiful by illymation
and it was a gift
just wanted to share some of my "comfort music". also, the last song is very hard for me to share and listen to. it helped me through my worst days, but it reminds me of every painful time i listened to it. i hope these songs can be comforting for you as much as they are for me. stay safe everyone, remember to drink water, and take care of yourselves! <3

So true, music helps so much. Thanks again for doing this series, and for the song suggestions! I only know a couple of them (Older and I See You, both of which have helped me through hard times), but I'll be sure to check the others out!

Thank you! I will put these on my list <3 as for songs that you love but can't listen to, I totally relate. There's this one song... standing by (I like the pentatonix version best) and I can't hear it without crying—just because of the memories.
Hope your day is going well! <3
