Who says you can only have one love of your life? <3

Oh, my bumblebee, how you once scared me.
Seeing you before used to make me want to run and hide.
You have so much power behind the buzz of your wings,
It intimidated me before.
Your stinger scared me more than your kind intentions.
But now, as you rest your body on my offered finger, I can see you up close and realise
You're not scary at all.
The buzz of your wings stays powerful, but as we get to know each other,
You direct that power towards protecting me from everyone.
Including myself.
You're sillier than I originally thought, bumbling around chaotically and clumsily.
The "I love yous" you whisper to me are sweet like honey.
The comfort you bring to me when I'm upset is like a warm and fuzzy hug.
It's too bad we can't really be together yet.
You have to stay in your beehive, and I have to stay in my own home.
I don't know yet how much it hurts you, but it hurts me in ways I cannot understand.
I miss you easily, and sometimes I think you've hidden away, no longer wanting me.
But I hear your buzz through the voice call on Discord,
And all is well again.
Oh, my bumblebee, how you comfort me.
How safe you make me feel.
You're the only bee I do not fear.

I like the symbolism of the Bees. This was fun to read! I really felt a lot of emotion in this piece, reminded me of that special someone myself. It's the little things like this that make me believe in the strength of love. I hope you have an excellent day! :)
