"Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle." - Lewis Carroll

oh, to live with friends in a renovated french castle with a labyrinth

i write mediocre poetry about love and other lies

It's funny watching those old fairytale movies when you realize you sympathize with the villains more than the heroes.

happy ever after with a broken heart

i've always been a sucker for happy endings
and i suppose it's because
i haven't found my own yet

secrets spun from the finest gossamer
lies blocking the tears in your eyes
and i am supposed to believe them

and even when they live happily ever after
someone's heart is broken

rain racing down the windowpane
and i want it to feel my suffering

be it the villain
or the friends they left behind
and i think in this story
i'm both
I feel like this isn't my best work, but I like its tone. If someone would be willing to give me some feedback, I'd love that. Also, apologies for being inactive the past few days.

Interesting tone in this poem! I also find myself sympathizing with the Disney villains from time to time LOL. To be honest, I feel like they put more effort and character development into their villains than their heroes! (For the most part.)
