Hello people! What to say? I'm a Christian girl. I like to write. I write tons of poetry, some short stories, and other things.
God bless you!

Message from Writer

You can be nostalgic for a place you've never been if you've been there in your imagination.

strokes of paint on canvas/those are my words on a page/watch as the ink blots drawn from the depths of my mind/stain papers as they grow yellow with age/wonder if they will live forever/in the imagination and thoughts of someone/for sometimes you'll find if the words are important/blotting them out is not easily done

Thank you to all who have supported me, and feedback is always welcome!
Also, if you comment on a piece of mine, I will generally respond to it at some point.

(un)official welcomes are in order

FREE WRITING

3
slender fingers grace the keyboard like
piano players dipping black and white notes into
melodies and harmonies for all to listen to
and as to each musician their own
instrument thus the writer spills text onto
pages and the chords strike
true in readers' minds

for the fingers can still and the
lines of text falter
but the mind of an author is never
empty for it's simply waiting for
inspiration for the flash of
lightning for the percolation of
thoughts to become a life-giving well
for the scent of rain to permeate the mind as
images coalesce into stories

thus she writes
for if the paintbrush will not paint
and the music will not play
then her brain must turn inside-out
and spill its innards across the page
if only so that the caged birds may fly free

but she has turned to other outlets
and the fingers no longer flutter across the keys
as fast as they once did

so instead she welcomes the new writers
with their fever-bright eyes and readiness to
fill the blank spaces with their worlds and characters
she's slipped off of the stage but claps for the newcomers
who will follow their predecessors
and write the world anew
this kind of accidentally came off as a goodbye piece, but i assure you it's not. however in an effort to conform to the guidelines as much as i can, as i don't want this piece taken down and i don't want to go against the rules, i won't be writing an address in here; that would probably be considered too social media-esque. instead i present this piece to you and hope that it will suffice.
Sincerely,
Christy Wisdom

Replying: You're welcome! And thanks, I actually was able to defeat it (I wrote about it in my piece Day's End).

This is so beautiful in an uncomplicated, lovely way.
