All trees are doors to another world though you need not turn knobs to enter
They are pathways to places in your imagination though once you arrive you need not walk
Once you place the pads of your fingers on the bark
You open a yellow brick road
Down the hills of your mind
To a better time

For trees hold tomes of information within them
All you have to do is stay awhile and let them whisper their secrets into your ear
Rest under its branches
Sit among its leaves
Inspiration trickles forth like a creativity stream
Once you let your breathing match that of the breeze

These trees are doors to your hiding place, a shelter, a refuge for you
Where ideas run wild with the squirrels and the birds who live there too
Climb high and see the world from a different view
Stand tall and take it in
The grass is green
The sky is blue

You need not knock for there's always a welcoming tree
So let's enter this new world together
Just you and me

this piece is absolutely beautiful! ahaha! “ Where ideas run wild with the squirrels and the birds who live there too” your personification in this line is everything. it adds to the “endless possibilities” feel of the piece. ( not to take away from the brilliant piece in front of me rn but i tried to find a piece without any serious subject matter to ask you for some advice i am hosting my first contest on my page and i know you have done one in the past i was wondering if you had any ideas of how i could make it better for next time but if you don’t want to or don’t have time i totally understand i myself should be doing my summer homework rn lol)
