Any sort of constructive criticism is welcome. Please let me know if I need to clarify anything, or if there is anyway I can enhance the reading experience. This is micro-fiction and must be under 99 words, and I am currently at 95 words.

cracked peanut

August 10, 2020

I hate looking at peanut butter. I hate when Lisa smears a layer of the oozing, beige blood on her freshly sliced bread. I hate how she chews with such ferocity, her mouth opening and closing with vigorous excitement.

Like she’s savoring murder. She finds joy in killing my people.

She finds joy in taking my friends, cracking them open with her French-manicured talons, and forcing them into her blender, until they are one big mess of terror.

I stand on the counter, horrified by the scene in front of me.

The forgotten, cracked peanut.
