The world shrinks at midnight

The world shrinks till i
am a hand and a pair of
too wide eyes
and my universe is at my fingertips
cold bright midnight glass
typed words that don't quite penetrate the fog
I let myself fall
into this oblivion
the space around me seems thick with its
nothingness
and the air is slick with silence
as the world shrinks

Shivers!! Short piece that delivered a lot!! Would love to see this as a motif used as a story of some sort!!

Love this piece! Especially the lines "the space around me seems thick with its / nothingness / and the air is slick with silence"

"cold bright midnight glass / typed words that don't quite penetrate the fog" This is stunning and I felt a shiver run up my spine. Wow. I don't know what to say!
