Why the Sky is Blue | Writing Streak Week 1 Day 3

  1. It confused itself with the ocean one day.
  2. Or maybe it was simply jealous of the cerulean sea.
  3. It saw people enjoying blueberries.
  4. And thought, "hey, that could be me"
  5. A lover broke its heart
  6. So the sky's blood and tears ran azure
  7. The wound never really did heal
  8. I guess it's still searching for a cure
  9. It wants to sparkle like the sapphires
  10. And dazzle like the wildflowers
  11. A pop of color everyone can see
  12. Except for days of rain showers
  13. 'Cause all the sky wanted was to be that joy
  14. So it became that rare hue
  15. But now whenever you ask a little girl or boy
  16. "What's blue to you?"
  17. They answer "it's sad"
  18. "It's sad"
  19. Its dream was to make people glad
  20. Instead, they think it's sad
  21. And indeed, the sky is blue
the rhyming died at the end. 
But yeah, fun fact: besides the sky, blue is the rarest color found in nature. :D

    Great job on being picked! You did great with this one! It’s so cute, and it is cool how blue is the rarest color in nature, except for the two biggest things I can think of (the sky and the ocean). Congrats!
