way too late on the road
stop/ meet your friends and carry their words with
you in a silver blush pink lipstick ripped out suitcase stuffed
in the collage crafted take-out trunk.
roll down the windows when it rains and
pours on your french fried lap and your silk washed
locks, sparkle gelatine drops in the strands of their hair and
scream when the vintage bottle drops because you were their mom's
beloved heir.

cherries scattered loose
sit/ doodle noses and their freckles in the outlines of the olive
smelling garden while you sip denim lemonade extracted from
painters' crushing fountains.
breathe out daisy crowns and misty sheets of paper so the
echoes bouncing off these languid lying gazers crumble up in
petals dropping feather dimes and
treacle dripping of your blazer.

remembering is a sixth sense
wait/ splatter navy blue stars of lucid locked up memories and
tracked down hymns of twilight fever lips
on their cracked onyx heels.
braid crescent fingerprints in their chin as they look at the
weeping moon tricking mortals in singing hurt remnants of
childhood love colours and dead poet's ink tears.
turn their shadows into veiled souls holding their
sleep deprived candlelit prose and listen as they
roar their inner raging cries of shattering
worlds.
engrave your name in the ocher hues of sand before the
flood steals you and the other parchment whispers only held
together by imagined snapping stitches.

question: do you sometimes notice an interesting view or person or phenomenon and immediately think 'this is perfect to write about later' ? because I do more than I probably should, given I almost always forget about it.

Replying: oh, that sounds really pretty!
I have this friend who lives in Antwerp, and I'm a lil jealous cause Belgium just sounds like such a lovely place to live in. I've only recently started listening to music while writing, but most of my inspiration does come from books, or the things I've heard people say as well!

Agskdjdhsjsksj I feel like Chrys said it all, really. Every piece you write is just so effortlessly beautiful.
(*Sees footnotes*- what inspired this poem?)

what the heck this is so pretty. so so pretty w hat is this. i don't have the brain capacity to compliment this thing, but i just completely adore the 'shattered'-ness of it all? like it's somewhat disconnected when you first read it, but if you look closer, it's all one thing in the most beautiful way. also, all of your pieces are reread worthy, and i feel like i'd discover a new treasure every time i come back to it. <333

(to your question) I feel like that a lot. I have a horrible memory, so I basically forgot everything someone told me two minutes ago. Great piece though!
