I want to be like the Poets
Capable of bottling up their teardrops
Until they ferment into a rich black ink.
They translate every beat of their heart
Into a line of artwork and grace.

I want to be like the Poets
With stars in their eyes
And songs in their hearts,
Who float their way through life
And observe the smallest of things:
The way the trees to speak to them,
What their mother's voice looks like.

I want to be like the Poets
who mold and shape words
until they most closely resemble
everything they have ever felt.

I want to be like the Poets.
Perhaps some day I will.

This is so fantastic, you already are a poet! It's honestly lovely (I, too, want to be like a Poet) and I can really feel everything you've written here. I wish I could pick just one line to comment on and say how much I loved it, but I can't because the entire thing is just spectacular!
