contest yes i did make one #varmebolger (CLOSED!!!)

FREE WRITING

17
Right, I caved, here’s a contest.

Rules are just be sensible. Have some common sense. No heavy swears, and if you want to take inspiration from others, either take their permission first, or link it in the footnotes please. Or you can be extra kind and do both of those. That's all.

Prompt one
Picture Prompt - Viggo Johansen's Self Portrait
    Word count - 190-200
Make me feel the simple stillness that should be treasured in life. I want to feel peaceful and soft. Nostalgic and gentle love. Make me feel with all senses, the one I'm most looking for is touch and sight. It has to be Prose writing.

Prompt two
    Ballad
    Word count - 200-400
Make me feel the salt, the seas, the strong winds. I want to be able to see the sailors on their ships, the foxhunters and their hounds. I want to hear the fox’s braying and feel for them. You can achieve this by incorporating emotions such as homesickness, wanderlust, or fear into your stanzas. It can be about any topic you’d like, but please do not include religion, or other topics which could be sensitive to some.
One guidline for this is that is has to be a ballad style. If you don’t know what it is here’s a good link explaining it.

Prompt three
    Poetry
Word count - 200 and up

This poem should touch on mental health issues. Please include the proper trigger warnings in the beginning or I will automatically disqualify it.
I want to have an insight into the topic you write about. I want to feel what you feel, see the way you see, and experience what it’s like to have the struggles you write about. Please be accurate, and any misinformation whatsoever or any downgrading people with mental health struggles will be pointed out, and you will get one chance to correct it. Note that it depends on the way you phrase it, and the way you say things.
Take this as far as you can with descriptive writing. I am looking for feelings, touch, sight, and emotion

Dealine’s the 5th next month.
Include the hashtag #varmebolger

Have at it, then!

Heyo. So, I’m having trouble reaching the 200 minimum for prompt three and was wondering if 124 was enough? Totally fine if it’s not, just wondering. Have a good day.

Would you consider making the minimum word count for the poetry prompt lower? Idk about other people, but 200 is a ton for me.
