i. what the stars don’t see
your blood on my hands, it stings like
the prey on a predator’s scent.

i carry you into the night with the
stars as my guide, your conscience still

pulsing underneath my heart. i know
that one day you’ll forgive me, but

i’m like the stars — still beating during the day,
but in the night they may drop from the sky
and not a soul would know.

ii. on the sun
i have traipsed onto the fiery surface,
bathing in all the glory of saccharine, sticky victory;

but what i see now is not a hero’s welcome:
i see the imperfections, the flaws, the ridges of

every being. i see the seven sins, the despair,
the wretchedness of humans in their natural forms

and the hatred they receive for being so. i see
mothers crouching on barren streets with

newborns on hip; girls selling their bodies for
their next meal; i see the sweat and toil of

laborers in concentration camps, and modern
teenagers hating every inch of themselves

because of a five-by-two inch screen. i see
loneliness and pain in every form, and

averageness (what an awful thing to be!)
and suddenly, inexplicably, i find that

perhaps i do not want to be human
anymore.
idk. just another collection of word vomit :") thank you all again for welcoming me to this community, i adore it here!

"i’m like the stars — still beating during the day,/but in the night they may drop from the sky and not a soul would know. "
just ethereal, you know, sort of otherworldly and magnificent.
replying: hahah thanks, also I saw your message to readers and there is NOTHING I agree with more.
