crish
crash
plink
crink

they say eyes are the windows to the soul
someone threw a brick at mine

and now my soul is gushing forth through the cracks
in the form of saltwater tears and waterfalls of dreams

crish
crash
crack
plink

glass falls to the floor in steady time
I tiptoe around my shattered view
and I pick up the pieces
of my broken soul

crick
crack
plink
crink

left with nothing and no one
I try to board up my eyes
but not even I
can stop seeing the world

shuffle
shuffle
crick
crack

they didn't mean to throw the brick or maybe they did
they didn't mean to offend or maybe they did intend to hurt
either way
I'll just pick up this shattered glass silently

shuffle
crick
crack
stab

they got underneath my skin

honestly, no idea where this came from.
But hope you enjoyed nevertheless...? :D

Really great contrast between the italics and the main onomatopoeia; it shifts the reader's focus to the effects more than the cause, making us comprehend the sheer gravity of the "crash." Hope this was just fiction XD

I love the onomatopoeia! Great work also using symbolism and showing such emotion through this piece.
