Tomboy shouldn’t be a word

Girly. Girlish. Feminine.
Why do these words still exist?
Why are they used to describe
Everything
dainty
pretty
and painfully materialistic

If I despise fashion
makeup
and I tend to be loud
and watch high-fire competitions on TV
because baking never really appealed to me

Does that make me a tomboy

Oh, sure, society
Because I forgot
We’re still oppressed
1800’s ideals

While you’re at it
Why don’t you get me one of those ridiculous hoopskirts
So I can walk through doors sideways
That would be very ladylike,
wouldn’t it?

I agree! I wish damaging stereotypes would cease to exist!

You're right! We shouldn't be fining ourselves by which standards we conform to and which one's we don't. I love wearing cute clothes, but that's not a personality trait! >:D
