I am a stout-hearted girl who loves her land
I wonder whether the mother forest will return for me someday
I hear leaves and flowers calling me everywhere
I see my rosebush creeping up to my window in a budded vine
I want to have someone to share all the great beauty of the outdoors with
I am a stout-heated girl who loves her land

I pretend that I'm tough and don't care
I feel it's the way to protect myself
I touch others harsher than I might think
I worry every day about hurting feelings accidentally
I cry when I realize I've bumbled through a relationship again
I smile when I seem to succeed at maneuvering friendship
I pretend that I'm tough and don't care

I understand that people are not the same as flowers
I say God's made them different, for a reason
I dream someday, that I might be able to be a better friend than a gardener
I try my best to work through drama and friends' emotions
I hope I could manage love, in time, too
I am a stout-hearted girl who loves her land

I love how you wove the theme of the "outdoors" and "nature" into a lot of the lines. Also that second stanza, i was just nodding my head the whole time, cause SAME.
(p.s., love your new bio XD)

I love the way that this piece flows from line to line. That's very hard to do in an I am poem, but you achieved it very well.

Also, I'm not *him*, but you can share all the great beauty of the outdoors with me (I'll probably appreciate it more anyway). *smirks* *tries not to laugh at myself* *fails*
