I am the flying girl who has learned to fall brilliantly
I wonder what the sky will look like when I ignite
I hear the call of my dreams, like a siren of the night
I see incandescent memories whirling in the foreground of my mind
I want to engrave them on my bones as evidence of who I've been
I am the flying girl who has learned to fall brilliantly

I pretend my life is marked with pebbles to guide me home
I feel like the stars have ripped away my confidence
I touch the lifeblood of the town that made me
I worry that one day I'll forget to come back
I cry for the people I never knew how to love
I am the flying girl who has learned to fall brilliantly

I understand the calling card of pain and the way to accept it
I say I can help, but don't know if my hands can hold on
I dream of being the one who can paint words like DaVinci
I try to stay true to what my heart has always sung
I hope I can one day breathe the air of my purpose
I am the flying girl who has learned to fall brilliantly
This took wayyy longer to write than I expected it to XD

'I dream of being the one who can paint words like DaVinci' well.....you did that in this poem! I loved how you have repeated 'I' but it doesn't sound monotonous but rather adds more to the beauty of the poem<3

Replying: Haha, yeah it was a really long post! Thanks for all the Dutch Bros recommendations for when I finally do get to go! As for the mochi waffle place, not sure if it's okay for your other food restrictions, but I know for a fact that everything is 100% gluten free and amazing! And here's the best part: IT'S A BOARD GAME CAFE. So you can play board games over mochi waffles. Is that not heaven? It's in downtown SF and is called the Game Parlour. If you go, tell me what you think! It's like one of my favorite places on earth! *sighs dreamily* <3<3

About my userfiction: Apparently userfiction pieces are getting taken down "to protect people's privacy" so I'm afraid I no longer can host. My original piece has been taken down, so I have to discontinue. I'm very sorry :(

“Paint words like Da Vinci” that took my breath away. That is a beautiful sentence!!!

  • I Think I Loved You Once

Both titles are great but I'd have to go with Aerial Gravity :)

  • A Certain Type of Decisive

I didn't actually think of any good ones (how do a match a sub-par title with an amazing title?) but maybe these can spark an idea of your own?
    "Flight of the Tumble-Bee?"
    "Brilliantly?"
"It's All Just Gravity, One Way or Another?"
    "Falling in Flying with Consequences?"
    "I Think Icarus Wasn't a Metaphor?""
"I Think Icarus Would be Proud?"

This is so gorgeous! I love the language; it is so poetic and the adjectives/adverbs you use are beautiful. Maybe you could call it "The Flying Girl?"

Nice piece! Ooh, I love coming up with titles. Ok, maybe put "The Song of Flight." I'm weird, so, if you think my title is weird, I completely agree with you. XD

You could use the word 'aerial' in it?

Wow! This piece is amazing! Maybe something at flying? Like flying girl or something like that?

This is amazing! WOW! Gosh, I suck at titles. Hmm. I'll think about it and get back to you! Also, mine took probably around 20-25 minutes because I had to look up some rhyming words :D
