Isn't that suspicious?

You looked at me once
and then
you never looked at me
again.
You looked at everybody
except me,
and you looked at them
a lot.
But not me.
Isn't that suspicious?

I've seen your videos
you made
for assignments in class,
and
they are very good,
very solid.
But whenever I see you
in person,
presenting to the class,
you always
seem to mess up in your
sentences,
filled with "umm"s.
Other people
tell me about your
presentations
when I'm absent from class,
and they say
that your presentations are very good,
and you talk well.
But whenever I see you publicly
speaking,
you stammer and pause all of
the time.
Isn't that suspicious?

Yesterday, I was sitting on a
bench,
and saw you facing the other way
and
talking to people so fluently.
Then,
I remembered I had to remind
one of
the people you were talking to
about something.
When I did, you immediately stopped
talking,
and when I went back to sit down,
you didn't
resume talking to everybody.
Instead,
you just listened and listened,
and I think
that people forgot you were there.
Now,
you always glance behind you,
clearly
afraid of something that could
be there,
and though you still never look
at me
directly, I can tell you see me
in your
peripheral vision, and it must
matter.
Isn't that suspicious?
